VAMURTECH Notice

License Policy

The VAMURTECH materials are distributed under the MIT License. This means that the motto text, translations, explanatory documents, and related site materials may be copied, modified, redistributed, and reused, provided that the copyright notice and the MIT License notice are included.

Official Canon Policy

The Latin text is treated as the official canon of this project:

Vita brevis; ars longa, memoria servata usuque renovato; amor per artes technicas longas omnia vincit.

Translations and explanations are auxiliary materials. They help communicate the meaning of the canon, but they do not replace the Latin canon.

Avoiding Confusion with the Official Version

Because this project uses a permissive license, others may create modified versions, translations, forks, or derivative works. Such works should clearly indicate that they are modified or unofficial when they differ from the official canon or official explanatory documents.

In particular, modified versions should not be represented as:

• the official VAMURTECH canon,
• the official VAMURTECH publication,
• the authoritative text published at vamur.tech, or
• an approved version of the project, unless approval has actually been given by the project maintainer.

This notice is intended to keep the official canon clear while preserving the openness of the MIT License.
